Lyons was one of the hardest hit areas in Boulder County. The town is still closed and entry is by checkpoint only. Residents will not be allowed for live there for some time but may enter during the day to perform clean up.
On Saturday, October 19th we walked through the town in pairs visiting with people and offering support and information. On Sunday, October 20th we took a crew back to Lyons and worked to remove debris and sand from a townhouse complex. The devastation in Lyons was hard to describe but the pictures may give you an idea of how much help these people still need.
