Headwaters Relief volunteers will be departing for Haiti on March 30 and have been asked by partner organizations to bring to that country significant quantities of mosquito repellent to help stem the rapid spread of the Zika virus which has been linked to microcephaly.
The World Health Organization has declared this as an international public health emergency and recommends the use of insect repellents by women and men of child-rearing ages in countries where the virus is spreading, including Haiti.
Contributions are urgently needed to bring insect repellent to these individuals who are most vulnerable. Since 2010, Headwaters Relief Organization has made a long-term humanitarian investment in supporting children of several orphanages and schools in this impoverished country.
Your kind and generous contribution will help those who are most vulnerable – a gift of $100 will provide 500 hours of protection for 10 women – or $50 will provide 500 hours of protection to 5 women. Any amount is greatly appreciated. Make your gift today by donating here.
Thank you!
