Since taking office, President Obama has made global development a priority.

On July 20, 2016, Headwaters Relief Organization had the privilege to join leaders from private, public, and non-profit organizations for the White House Summit on Global Development; a one-day event to reflect on the accomplishments of the past eight years and to catalyze efforts moving forward.

Headwaters Relief participated in this honor as a result of its membership in InterAction, an international association of non-governmental Organizations (NGOs) involved in critical global issues. Headwaters Relief has been active since 2005; however, since 2010 it has had a growing presence internationally through its work in mental health, public health, and work in clean up, and rebuilding.
