Improving the Lives of Prisoners
Rick Zwelling is the Program Administrator for Morning Sun of Ohio. He volunteers to transform lives of prisoners in Ohio through “The Horizon Project.” The project is a Jewish faith-based program that serves approximately 40-60 inmates in a year long process. The Horizon Project works to improve the lives of the prisoners and has a 95 percent success rate of individuals staying out of prison after release. Rick has been serving for The Horizon Project for three years and he says it is an honor to associate with people on a spiritual journey. Rick says “We’re here to give, not to take.”
